Ah, springtime. If you live in Portland, you know exactly what I mean. Cherry blossoms fluttering, fluted tulips in citrus and berry hues. It is impossible to want to stay inside on even the rainiest, cloudy day. There are puddles to jump in, and fresh greens at the market. And best of all there is the new spring fashions to shop! And like all good Rose City dwellers, I like to shop local when I can. Buy Local is a great campaign committed to supporting local owned, independent businesses here in Portland. To do my small part, and to let you guys in on some great local designers, here is the Must Have Monday Buy Local This Spring List.
First up is Sarah Seven. I love this dress! I’m not sure about the mellow part, that yellow makes me want to sing like a canary. And the ruffles! Don’t get me started.
These earrings by Kitten Camaro are so sweet. Perfect for me this season. Q wouldn’t be able to grab them at all.
This necklace by Wondering Blossom is such a neat idea. And there are so many great fabrics to choose from. I hope she makes a lot of these, because this idea would be great any season.
Katherine McConnell‘s Asher jacket is such a cute design. The Peter Pan collar alone is a must have and the beautiful coral color is one that looks good on everybody. So sweet.
Such a cute bag! I think with the blue and white stripes it would be a winner for summer as well, but would really go great with all the citrus colors out this spring. Revolution of the Heart has so many cute designs picking just one was tough!
I just had to have a tulip skirt on the list! Such a simply designed flower and such a simply designed skirt, yet so much fun to look at. And I really like the colors Indigo Feet chose. Perfect for a spring walk.
nJoy Design makes all their bags in oilcloth which is awesome for Portland. It is also great when you have kids for wiping up spills. And such cute designs. Check out their clutches, too.
Such a beautiful name for a neat little necklace. Amy Burgess‘ Maybe Sparrow necklace fits the season perfectly. I love the old sailor tattoo feel mixed with the romantic bead work. Very cool.
This dress is great. You can’t see it in the picture, but it has pockets! I love that little detail. Amanda Archer‘s pleated dress is so flattering and could be paired with a cardigan and flats for a more casual look. Gotta love all the layers if you’re going to live in Portland! Happy spring and happy shopping!
