About

I’ve been seriously crafting for two years. The first year  was dedicated to handmaking all my gifts and the start of this blog. I have no idea the number of handmade gifts I gave in 2009, but believe me it was a LOT. (feel free to count them in the archives!) And 2010 was all about starting my kids clothing, costume, and accessories label, Sew Flippin Cool. So basically, my crafting career thus far has been solely about producing product. While I extended myself by trying a diverse array of projects from woodworking to doll making to cake baking to quilting, a lot of the little details that make handmade items really personal were left out due to time constraints or the need to move on to the next project. I want to slow down this year and produce less perhaps, but focus more on the small details. I hope you’ll come with me through this leg of my handmade experiment and please remember your comments and questions are always welcome!

  3. Good Morning 🙂 –
I am the Director for Clayton Valley Girlfriends Unlimited (and a huge fan of course!!! ) We are a faith-based nonprofit women’s group and the our mission is to bring women together and work as one to give back through service projects, charities, etc. and to provide them with meaningful connections with other women during whatever stage they are in in life.

We are having posh mother, daughter, sister, friend spa event Sunday, May 2. We have volunteers of all kinds that are going to be doing manis, pedis, makeovers, hair updos, massages, etc. We are in the process of filling swag bags AND contacting merchants and various companies for donations for giveaways and silent auctions in return for FREE advertising before, during, and after our event.

You have such a wonderful product line and with our spa event focusing on mothers and women (and girls of all ages, little girls, teens/tweens, youth) – we thought it would be a fabulous opportunity for your company to be represented and gain even MORE exposure. We are wondering if you would be interested in donating either an exclusive piece, product or gift certificate for a giveaway or silent auction? If you donate an item, you can also send business cards, brochures, etc., to go in the swag bags that will go home with each attendee. (In addition to items for women of all ages – we are also in search of items that can be given away to girls of all ages.)

Note: Proceeds from our fundraisers are used for “Girlfriends Give Back” Service Projects. (Any events, trips, or ‘fun’ activities are paid for solely out of pocket by each individual.)

If you are interested in being a sponsor in this way, you can either reach me at my email address OR you can contact me by phone if you prefer at 563-252-1737 to discuss this at length.

Please feel free to go to the website listed below to see the Advisory Board, read our mission statement, see what we’ve done in the past and what’s on our plate for 2010.

(Please accept my sincerest apology if this is a duplicate email. I had some computer issues this week and this maybe sent in duplicate unintentionally.)

    Thank you so much.
    Have a blessed day.
