Feel Good Giveaway – Sesame Seed Designs

In true Portland fashion, Sesame Seed Designs makes home and personal accessories that are not only fun and attractive, but also environmentally friendly. As an ecologist, fiber artist, and mother, Casey makes functional, nature-themed items using recycled wool and cashmere sweaters. Cozy and eco-friendly!

If you are local, check out Sesame Seed Designs this weekend (Dec 13) at the Crafty Wonderland Super Colossal Holiday Sale and next  (Dec 19) at SCRAP’s Holiday Bazaar. For those not in the Portland area, make sure to check out her shop and newsletters for further updates.

Perfect for stocking stuffing or even an early Santa gift for yourself, Casey is generously giving ONE winner the choice between a pouch or coffee sleeve. To win, leave a comment here before Sunday Dec 13th midnight PST. Tell me which you choose and I’d love to hear about a favorite gift from recycled materials that you’ve either given or received.

  1. I would choose the pouch, My favorite gift from recycled material is a skirt I made for my daughter.

  3. I LOVE that pouch! Super cute!

  4. I follow.

  5. LOVE the pouch! I use my kids drawings and handwriting lessons as wrapping paper. And then it can be recycled.

  7. Oh I really like the coffee cozy!! I always find coffee cups are too hot for me, so this would be perfect to keep in my car while driving and drinking my coffee.

  8. I love that pouch. It is so cute!
And my fave gift is a little makeup bag made from a skirt that my grandmother gave me.
    Thanks.

  9. I like the pouch. I seldom drink coffee and it’s never takeaway. I haven’t made anything from recycled materials unless you count leftover material that I’ve been given (an overall for my nephew) or bits of material I’ve bought from a thrift shop (totes).

  10. I love the bright pink pouch. My daughter and I are always scavenging at garage sales trying to find things to bring home and repurpose into something else. Sometimes it works and sometimes not, but it’s always fun.

  11. I reaally like the pouch, and well we use recycled paper towels, napkins, toilet paper and aluminum foil.
